POLLEN ON THE POND, 16" x 36" oil
After a quiet spring night when the pollen in the air has settled on the surface of the water, a loon appears in the early morning light. The "pollen" was painted by mixing up several soupy oil mixes of varying colors and then using old toothbrushes in a spatter technique. The very fine, multi-color specks add an interesting dimension to the painting. |
