NOVEMBER DOE, 14" x 18" oil
The color of a whitetail deer in late fall was a challenge to nail down. At first glance, the obvious answer seems to be "gray", but it turns out there's a fair amount of green in there as well. At any rate, the wonderful camoflage is uncannily similar to the color of a sugar maple trunk. Isn't nature clever?
